Joseph Gitler – Executive Director Joseph is a graduate of Yeshiva University and Fordham University law school. After making aliyah in 2000, he worked for three years as director of international sales and development for a family software business. He founded Leket Israel in 2003 after witnessing significant food wastage in Israel at a time of rising poverty. Joseph's vision and steady hand have led the organization from a simple, one-man operation to Israel's largest food rescue organization. He is married to Leelah, has four children and enjoys biking, traveling and spending time with his kids.
Gidi Kroch - COO Gidi joined Leket Israel in July, 2007 after nearly two decades in the hi-tech sector in Israel and the United States. Gidi brings a wealth of administrative and hands-on experience to our organization, as well as a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from England's University of Derby. He is also a Lieutenant Commander (res.) in the Israeli Navy, having served as the head of a Fast Attack Missile Boat unit and the celebrated Fast Attack Patrol Boat division. Away from the office, his hobbies include sailing, scuba diving and reading.
Paul Leiba – Director of Development Paul made aliyah from Melbourne, Australia in 1983 after completing degrees in Commerce and Social Work at the University of Melbourne. Paul joined Leket Israel in August 2003 after working for many years in the welfare field and six years as an apple grower in the Golan Heights. He is married to Hagit, has three children and still dreams of playing test cricket for Australia.
Dalit Rochman – Director of Special Projects Dalit is responsible for volunteer recruitment and ongoing volunteer relations at Leket Israel , as well as, marketing, public relations, fundraising and special projects. She brings a wealth of non-profit and social experience to Leket Israel as graduate of both Bar Ilan University's Non-Profit Administration program and Open University's training program for board members of public companies. Before joining Leket Israel she created a school for Israeli children in New Jersey, and served for many years as the Kfar Saba director of the Women's International Zionist Organization (WIZO). In her spare time, she enjoys music, Hebrew poetry, reading and hiking.
Reut Ronen – Night-time Food Rescue Coordinator Reut is a student in the masters in Public Policy and Non-Profit Administration at Ben Gurion University in Beer Sheva and has served as Leket Israel's Night-time Food Rescue coordinator since 2007. Prior to joining T2T Reut completed a BA degree in Behavioral Sciences at Ben Gurion University and worked for several years as a project manager in the corporate world before dedicating her professional life to the non-profit sector. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, movies and good food.
Mark Eilim, Leket Project Coordinator Mark completed a four-year apprenticeship as an auto mechanic and technician at BMW in Johannesburg, South Africa and managed his own car rental business before making aliyah in 2004. Since arriving in Israel he has served as the project coordinator for Project Leket. He is married to Heidi, has three children and enjoys Torah study and classic movies.
Yonatan Ben-Dor, Development Consultant Yoni joined Leket Israel in 2004 as its third employee, and has been with the organization in a variety of positions ever since. He developed the night-time food rescue project into a national project, served as Leket Israel's first "food-raiser", helped to recruit fields and volunteers for the then-infant Project Leket, and developed Leket Israel's website, online communications, and online fundraising operations. He has a B.A. from Montreal's McGill University, and an LLB from Hebrew University.
