Deborah loves to bake challot and especially loves to get creative. She challenged herself to a project to create a challah or two for each parasha for two years and loves a challenge to create crazy challah shapes. She has made horses, donkeys, rams as well as Herzl and a Golda Meir challah – you can see them all on her Instagram page, LoveLoveChallah. 

Since October 7th challah has definitely become even more therapeutic and meaningful for her, believing in the power of the prayer of taking challah, as well as making lots of magen David challot, and challot that inspire a love of Israel, and sending challot to the front for the soldiers and for miluim families. She believes strongly that you can give a hug with a challah! My tip for making challah – keep trying! Challah made with love and prayer is always delicious.

Deborah runs the popular website and Facebook group LoveLoveIsrael where Leket is always a popular volunteering activity.
