Welfare Minister Haim Katz Visits Leket Israel Logistics Center

Today, Welfare Minister, Haim Katz, visited Leket Israel’s logistics center in Ra’anana. Leket Israel are partners with Colel Chabad’s Eshel Jerusalem in the National Food Security Program led by Minister Katz. I am happy to report that the Minister shared the following during his visit: “The Welfare Ministry plans to grow the program by 50% this year, ensuring that 5,000 additional families join the 10,800 already part of the initiative. Minister Katz continued: “There were some opposed to launching the National Food Security Program but in my eyes, Leket Israel supplying the fruits and vegetables and Eshel Jerusalem providing the food cards, is the right way. The delivery of fresh produce combined with the food cards restores much dignity to the neediest families in Israel.”
