General Set-up Recommended:<\/h3>
  • Plastic cover for table (protect your surfaces, just in case)<\/li>
  • Apron for each participant (we strongly recommend to cover clothing as acrylic paints do not wash out easily)<\/li>
  • Container with a bit of water (enough to soak the tips of paint brushes between uses)<\/li><\/ul>

    Each participant will need:<\/h3>
    • 1 Canvas (or 1 sheet of canvas paper or artist quality water-colour paper)<\/li>
    • 1 Wide paintbrush (for background and broad strokes)<\/li>
    • 2 Fine-tipped paintbrushes (for finer details)<\/li>
    • 1 Small container for water (for rinsing\/soaking brushes)<\/li>
    • 1 Paper plate for palette (have extras on hand in case of need)<\/li>
    • Paper towels or kitchen roll (for drying paint brushes between colours)<\/li>
    • Paints for the palette (Cerulean Blue, Vermillion Red, Lemon Yellow, Titanium White, Deep Green)<\/li><\/ul>

      General tips:<\/h3>
      • We are here to enjoy and to explore the magic of painting. Step-by-step instruction will be provided but feel free to take artistic license with your painting. That\u2019s what artists do, after all.<\/li>
      • In order to achieve an accurate resemblance to the original painting, draw what you SEE, not what you THINK you see.\u00a0<\/li>
      • It helps to break down the painting into basic shapes and blocks of colour.<\/li>
      • Sometimes the hardest part of painting is knowing when to put down the brush! Step back every few minutes and get a different perspective of your artwork, and ask yourself if it feels complete.<\/li><\/ul>

        Clean up:<\/h3>

        Brushes should be washed in warm water and mild soap as soon as possible after the painting is completed. They can air-dry upside down. Water receptacles should likewise be rinsed (no soap necessary). You might want to let the paintings dry overnight on the plastic table cover.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
