Iris, a 49-year-old single mother of nine, has been receiving food from Leket Israel’s nonprofit partner, Bet Nehriya in Nahariya (northern Israel) for almost a decade. Days after her youngest child was born, Iris made the courageous decision to leave her abusive husband, refusing any financial support from him.
