Forthe eighth year running, the Israel Recreational Hockey Association ishosting its annual recreational ice hockey tournament on February10-14 in Metulla, Israel. The non-contact tournament is open to allplayers and promotes sportsmanship and participation.
Itis the perfect excuse to come visit the Holy Land and get to boast thatyou played hockey there. Both team and individual entries are accepted.(For those interested, there is a daily minyan and daf yomi – the onlyhockey tournament in the world where you will find that!!!)
Participants are expected from Israel, Canada, the USA and Europe. Send in your application ASAP as space is limited. Airfares are currently very reasonable for that time of year.
The tournament takes place in the Canada Center in the heart of Metulla (http://www.canada-centre.co.il/en/)one of Israel’s major tourist attractions and the largest sports centreof its type in the region (indoor pool, Jacuzzis, bowling, squashcourts, giant exercise room and more!). You may even be able to doubleyour winter Israel experience with a visit to the Mt. Hermon ski slopes.
