Last night, Joseph Gitler, Leket Israel’s Founder and Chairman, accepted the Ruppin Academic Center’s 2017 Honorary Fellowship on behalf of Leket. This award is given to organizations and individuals who are selected as extraordinary examples of Israeli Zionist bodies that contribute to society and those that are identified through their activities and actions as role models for the Ruppin student body.
Leket is honored for being acknowledged for its national responsibility, for bringing the issue of food waste and rescue to the public discourse and for showing dignity to its food recipients.
40+ Ruppin scholarship students volunteer with Leket on an ongoing basis.
